Thanks to Sport Hawkes Bay, we are now running classes for female identifying individuals and non-conforming genders of all ages and skill levels. These classes are best for those just starting out - Havelock North skatepark contains heaps of flatground, mellow banks and different sized quarter pipes which are great for learning and progression. Our experienced coach, Myah, will take you through all the essentials needed to level up your skateboarding and get you rolling comfortably. Even if you’re not a beginner, these classes are great for trying new things and learning different and more advanced skills.

FLAXMERE SESSION / HAWKES BAY SKATE COLLECTIVE
Free | 1-2 hour session | Flaxmere Skatepark | Mondays from 5pm
Evening skate session at Flaxmere Skatepark. This is a laid back meet up session to try and build up the skate scene and get everyone together. Riders are there each week from around 5pm as a part of the Hawkes Bay Skate Collective (HBSC). They have lights at the skatepark and the more people that show up, the safer it feels and the more fun we have! Suitable for anyone of all ages, genders and skill levels.

WAIPUKURAU LESSON / COMING SOON
$$ | 45 minute lesson | Waipukurau Skatepark
After school lessons at Waipukurau Skatepark for all ages, genders and skill levels. These lessons are catered towards Central Hawkes Bay locals. We believe that everyone deserves that chance to skate, no matter what town you live in! Waipukurau skatepark has a good flat bottom street section, with beginner friendly banks, humps and quarters, paired with a concrete mini ramp which makes this a great space for beginners. There is also a bowl as the back of the park with various transition heights so it’s great for those wanting to progress with the bowl skating and advance their transitional skills.

Group lessons also tend to be more cost-effective, making skateboarding more accessible to a wider audience. Overall, the collective energy and shared learning atmosphere make group skateboarding lessons an enjoyable and socially engaging way for individuals to enhance their skills on the board.

Pre-class details
It is essential that participants wear covered shoes and comfortable clothing. All hire equipment including boards, helmets and safety gear can be provided free of charge.
If you are needing to cancel your spot in the class, please let us know at least 60 minutes prior the class. If you cancel before the last 60 minutes we can either refund you or hold a credit for a different lesson time. If you cancel with less than 60 minutes before the class start time, no refund or class change is possible.

All our lessons are weather dependent.
If it rains prior to the lesson or within the first 20 minutes of a lesson starting, all payments will either be refunded or we can keep a credit for a different lesson and the class will be cancelled.
